Improvement!

7 weeks on, he's showing a lot more improvement than expected. he hasnt been allowed to play at all, other than a 5 minute assessment once a week for the last 4 weeks to see how he is doing. assessment consists of a couple of circles on either rein in walk, then a couple in trot. each week he's shown improvement :D

And today, he got 95% for soundness, yes!!! at last!!! was so pleased. he looked great, really striding out and engaging his back end. struggled to keep him from cantering, lol, he loves his assessments!

So will give him the rest of december off then if all is well we can go back to playing, gently at first (ha!). he has no muscle and has a bit of puppy fat as he's done nothing for almost 2 months, but it'll be easy to get that back. he's so athletic and he's desperate to play. its amazing too, even after those 5 mins a week he is SO nice to handle for the rest of the day, the rest of the week he's a nightmare. he has so much energy cooped up in there, cant wait to let him burn it again and use his mind!
